Information About - Rev. Rob Madden

I was borm in Naples, Italy in 1955. My father was a Tech-Sergeant in the USAF. I spent most of my early years, up to 14, on Air Force Bases around the world. Close to my 18th. birthday I was out on a night of revelry and came within an inch of death that night, I knew that I was going to Hell. So when a co-worker, named Mike, invited me to church I showed up. It was that morning (Nov. 5, 1972) a man by the name of George Losier led me to Christ!

I went on to Bible College at Tabernacle Baptist Bible College & Seminary, in Virginia Beach, VA. and graduated in 1977. (Graduate of Theology; Bachelor of Theology - 1/3 of my Dissertation away) I pastored a few churches and then went out West to be a Church-Planter. I worked under Dr. Harvey Seidel and Baptist Church Planting West. We started two churches while there. One in Flagstaff, AZ. & one in Sacramento, CA.

Then we moved to Roanoke Rapids and started Victory Baptist Church. While there we purchased lands & buildings to accomodate the crowds we had coming. We had high days of over four hundred. (we averaged 240+) The pastor there now, Mike Jones, Averages above 400 plus.

We've pastored & labored since then, and now we want to help churches. Whether it be a day, weeks, months, or permanent! I would love to get back into the pastorate again. My best work was done when I was a Pastor.

God Bless,

Rob Madden

Dear Pulpit Comm.,

We are living in, “Exciting Days” and maybe that’s where I can help you. I am a Pastor/Teacher looking for a ministry that seeks to bring honor & glory to Christ! I was told from a friend, Pastor John Keeter, (Fellowship Baptist Church) that you were looking for a "bi-vocational" pastor. I kind of fit that 'label' right now! I am a bus-driver for the Chesapeake Public School system, and presently preach/teach the Bible, on a weekly basis.

I love the Word of God, and believe it to be the guide for our 'spiritual' journey, while we are on this Earth. I have Trusted Christ as my Savior and seek to serve him in the best way I can. I have had great success in my pastorates over the years. I have learned a lot about Biblical servanthood in the ministry. I am one who works with God's people, and the spiritual leadership of the Church, to fulfill the ministry God has called us to.

I use Handouts, and PowerPoint slides in my main teaching lessons. (Not always in my preaching) I have all the equipment that's needed to present powerful teaching presentations. I've learned that teaching this way can be a great blessing & encouragement to God's people.

I am an easy-going type of guy, that gets along with most people. I enjoy being a Christian, and working with folks of all ages as a team.  My goal would be to encourage God’s people to fulfil the 'great purpose' He has for our lives. I seek only to lift up the Savior, and His marvelous grace; in the Church, and in the Community. I believe in a ministry that builds the 'spiritual' lives of God's people on a 'sure' foundation. (Christ & His Word)

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Sincerely In Christ,

Rob Madden
