From The Pen of ParsonRobert I am convinced that we need a "Fresh & Renewed" commitment to Soul Winning & Evangelistic Outreach! I will be doing two "Soul Winning" conferences, in the next few weeks. The pastors & the people are becoming aware of this missing "link", that once spread the Gospel all over the world! I'm beginning to sense a 'contriteness' over the lack of this in our churches! I have a preacher-friend, who is over 70, and retired. Yet, wherever he is, and wherever he goes, he always takes the time to go out and knock on doors, and pass out tracts to everyone he meets. He puts me & others to shame! Amen? This page will be dedicated to 'compelling' thots, & ideas, that will burden our hearts for "REACHING THE LOST!" Feel free to e-mail me anything that you have used, and/or heard about - that might help us to be better witnesses for Christ. Remember what Jesus said in... John 9:4... I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. I have been in churches that no longer order anymore gospel tracts! They tell me it's a waste of money, because, no one uses them. I remember cutting my "spiritual" teeth on passing out Oliver B. Greene Tracts at Safeway, as people entered and left the store! Often folks would show up in a service at our church because someone gave them a tract, or left it in a conspicious place. The churches I was privileged to start & build, came about by passing out tracts in the community! Now, most churches just want to get new additions by coming up with a better program. Basically they lure them in, and figure they have friends that can be lured in also. Listen, I'm not condemning or condoning people from other churches coming to yours. But, make sure it's for the right reasons! Now, having said that, let me state the case for "Soul Winning": 1. Each of the Four Gospels end with the "Great Commission"! 2. The Book of Acts begins with "The Great Commission"! 3. The MAIN job of the Holy Spirit is to make us "witnesses" & talk about Christ! (Acts 1:8; John 16) 4. Jesus spent 40 days before He ascended, talking about the Kingdom! (meaning: get ppl. ready for it!) 5. The whole Book of Acts is dedicated to spreading the Gospel, not building worship centers, with all the latest technology. 6. I could go on, but I won't - you get the message, right? So let's all get serious about the "Great Commission", and start passing out tracts and looking for ways of bringing Jesus into the conversation. The only thing holding back the Rapture of the Church, is the "fulness of the Gentiles coming in"! Rom. 11:25... For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. So let's get busy doing the great work of reaching the lost with the gospel of salvation!

“We are all missionaries. Wherever we go, we either bring people nearer to Christ, or we repel them from Christ.” (Missionary Eric Liddell - "Chariots of Fire")
